Jamie Nemeth

Jamie has been involved in music since the cradle. As a babe in arms he was a regular attendee at the Pontardawe Folk Festival where his parents helped out. He started playing violin at the age of 7 and became a prodigy in both classical violin and traditional fiddle style. As well as the fiddle factor in Moongazer, Jamie is in much demand by orchestras and musical societies on violin and double bass.

In 2008 Jamie won the Welsh fiddle championship. He boasts perfect pitch and is tireless on the bow causing one reviewer of Moongazer’s CD to question whether some of the fiddle playing was sampled. Those who have witnessed Moongazer live can attest that the relentless fiddle onslaught owes nothing to digital reproduction!
