Hailing from Bridgend in South Wales, Craig didn’t start playing until starting University and then it was on the drums and bass with the obvious intention of becoming his own self contained rhythm section. His mother persuaded him to concentrate on the bass through the indisputable argument that the drums have no volume control.
Craig played with the Kent rock band “Cage” for 4 years recording an EP in the process. He also started his own band “Urban Clearway” in Hertfordshire. In 2001, Craig made a guest appearance at a charity gig with members of legendary “psychobilly band” the “Stingrays.”
Craig’s taste in music is eclectic and his playing influences are equally varied, including Roger Waters, Steve Harris, Mark King and Pete Trewavas.
Back in South Wales, Craig joined the band “Split Decision” before joining “Moongazer” in early 2008.
As well as bass, Craig’s Moongazer duties include acoustic guitar, lead and backing vocals and he has also contributed hugely on the composing and arranging side of the band’s set.
On the odd occasion, he’s even let loose on the drums- as long as his mum is out of earshot.
